Overnight Charm Course Retreat

We are planning an Overnight “Charm Course” Retreat for the Spring Class of 2013 to be held on May 10 at the Ouachita Baptist Assembly near Board Camp. It will begin at 6:00 PM on Friday night and conclude at 1:00 PM with a closing ceremony on Saturday, May 11.

The retreat fee is and three meals is covered in the initial $100 registration fee for the class. Girls who attend the retreat will also be provided dinner on Friday night and breakfast Saturday morning. Parents, grandparents and adult mentors are encouraged to come for a special closing three course luncheon at 12:00 PM on Saturday. The meal cost is $8.50 per person.

The closing ceremony will be a time of fellowship with family and friends and to honor each student individually as she has completed the course. There will be music and the opportunity for girls to dance with their fathers/grandfathers and time for girls to have tea with their mothers/grandmothers.

During the retreat girls will attend a session on “Our New Look in Christ” and “Purity…A Priceless Commitment”. Also the girls will have time to practice and apply all the techniques they learned through the duration of the course at the Charm Course Challenge on Friday night. They will also learn the importance of quiet time with God each day and enjoy a time of praise and worship and fellowship with their friends. They will also receive a gift to use during their quiet time that they will take home.

Please notify the class instructor no later than Monday, April 22 if your special girl will be attending the retreat and how many will be in her party. A registration form and retreat flyer along with retreat information will be listed on the documents page of this site by April 1.
